Super Bowl

Super Bowl in two weeks. To be honest, I dislike both teams in the super bowl, and most of the teams I do like weren't even in the playoffs.

But, I still like to take a team, so I'll be rooting for the packers, just because I hate the steelers more than I hate the packers. :p

I think the packers will win it too. Steelers had easy wins vs. ravens and jets (jets played terrible), but green bay really smoked the eagles, the falcons, and the bears.

So you all you football fanatics, who do YOU think will win and who are YOU rooting for?????

I'll keep a fun little poll...

Green Bay Packers: 11
Pittsburgh Steelers: 3

Packs won. Woot Woot!

Now vote for best commercial!

I'm not one to really follow the NFL mate.....but every now and then I do get to see the Lingerie Football League on one of the cable channels.....what can I say, but God Bless America!!! Now THAT is a quality sport.

FWIW, be careful asking an Aussie who "they're rooting for" in the Lingerie League, though (the word has a different meaning in this neck of the woods).....and would prompt me to reply.........all of 'em! :-)

The Super Bowl is in two weeks, not one. Just saying.

I don't want the Steelers to get 7 rings. So I'm hoping Green Bay wins.

But I see the game going either way.

Re: Super Bowl

The Jets aren't in it so it doesn't matter to me.

Green Bay for my choice, So put your money on Pittsburg!

Actually, I think the conversation may be splintered between this thread and the "Early Super Bowl Picks" thread. From what I can tell though, the majority are going for the Packers (myself included).

Re: Super Bowl

I love this.... wish I saw it sooner.

The Steelers played much tougher opponents regardless of the NFC teams records that Green bay faced. The Steelers are more balanced in all three fazes of the game.

Green Bay has been porous on Defense when playing in domes... turf gives more speed than real grass.

I'm native Californian and I root for all things CA. I'm also a Dallas Cowboy fan so I really don't want the Steelers to win.

I really don't have much love for Bret Farve... I could type all your eye's off on that subject... So I'm rooting for Aaron Rogers to finally get that Farve Monkey off his back!!

Go Pack Go!

I was hoping Green Bay would make it, so Green Bay. They have a fantastic defensive line.

Oh man, The Pack and the Steel Curtain...

I hate both these teams.

Re: Super Bowl

I'm pulling strong for the Pack, even though I recognize that both teams are very good. I remember the last time our green and gold was in the big game, I was in kindergarten.

GO PACK!

I could go with seeing the Black Eyed Peas during the half time show (or ever for that matter). You can't get me far enough and quick enough for me not to grimace in pain.

Wont be any betting but there will be television at a stupid hour of the morning (I'm Australian) with plenty of hot and spicy pringles and pale ale.

In that case it was nice having you on the forum. The Steelers can't win because Commissioner Goodell will refuse to give the trophy to Rothlessgroper.

Re: Super Bowl

I'm going hard for the Pack. The Steelers have enough rings, and if Ben gets another he'll be comparable to Brady, which will annoy me greatly. When Ben fails(This postseason), the D picks up the slack. When Brady fails, the Pats fail. Two different situations. One QB is part of the organization, the other is the organization. If you haven't guessed yet, I'm a Pats fan.
Anyway, go Packers!!!

Unfortunately, I'll miss most of the game including the *shudder* Black Eyed Peas due to a hockey game. I'll hopefully be able to catch the last bit of the game.

Well, I think the Wall Street Bears will win this super-bowl. I will watch the game on Monday morning right after the bell rings at 9:30 am.

Re: Super Bowl

Another half time show with mediocre talent hidden amongst the flash. Can we not just get a band to play and stop all of the glitz.

Re: Super Bowl

Why do I think my 3rd grader could have put on a better half time show than that on the Super Bowl? Wait, my kids are grown. I don't have a 3rd grader. Oh, well, any 3rd grader will do.

Re: Super Bowl

Could this possibly be the worst superbowl ? I don't mean from the actual game part , i'm having a great time watching the game , but come on ! The half time show was horrible, just horrible. And Christina botches the Star Spangled Banner !!!!! then 400 people who already paided for tickets are turned away due to faulty temp seating .
Wow ..
At least some of the comercials are funny !

Re: Super Bowl

Maybe it's just not the Cowboys players that stink but the whole organization.

Ughh....... slash's greed knows no bounds..WTF! That was friggin ridiculous..I have never seen someone make more of an ass of themselves than Fergie and Slash..I sincerely doubt he was even playing..BTW what is the big deal with this Usher moron? Maybe I am just out of touch but I really do not get it.

"Slash, how would you like to earn a million bucks for 10 seconds work at the Super Bowl? All we require is you, your Les Paul, a sparkly top hat and the first 8 notes of Sweet Child....Fergie will do the rest."

My response would have been exactly the same...."Sir, I do believe we have a deal" :-)

The game is pretty decent. The half time show bombed just like i thought it would. I loved the Ozzy and Justin Bieber Best Buy add..

I'm not sore, who can possibly argue that fact? There was NO way to win any game with that many turnovers...just ain't gonna happen. But, I like it here so I think I'll stay.

Matthews forcing Mendenhall to fumble with that colossus smash in the backfield was classic. Double sack figures in his first two seasons, that boy is going to be one to watch.
