What's your favorite movie soundtrack?

What's your favorite movie soundtrack?

This is a video I made asking the YouTube community:

There are so many good soundtracks out there but I'd have to say my favorite would have to be the Lord of the Rings soundtrack.

I haven't listened to a lot of movie soundtracks, but out of those I have my favourites are the scores for 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later.

American Graffiti for a soundtrack with previously released music.

This is Spinal Tap for one of "original" music.

Mine too Tom....... it really did set of current bar for original film music to my ears and emotions.

There's a very good reason why Howard Shore won big awards {Grammy's/Oscar's} from the trilogy of films. Amazing film scoring and incredible music!

I really like the dogtown and zboys soundtrack.

http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0275309/soundtrack

It is responsible for me getting back into thin lizzy. and the hendrix track "ez rider" was on repeat for like a whole year for me after I saw that movie.

more recently I really liked the adventureland soundtrack

lou reed, husker du, new york dolls, etc. mixed with total 80's crap like wang chung and falco.

First thing that came to my mind was Star Wars.

Also, The Matrix soundtrack was pretty cool when RATM did it.

Blade Runner's soundtrack by Vangelis. Also Apocalypse Now.

As per below - LOTR, Forrest Gump, The Matrix, Star Wars.

Ian, I think of Tommy differently because it's a musical. Hedwig and the Angry Inch and Round Midnight (Bobby McFerrin scatting) had some great music too.

And then there is always Woodstock. Not truly a soundtrack, more of a documentary, but of course all great music.
