Documentaries on Sound Engineers input in Bands
Hi everyone.

This thread is a tad selfish, but I couldn't find another one similar, so I thought it could be of interest to many.

I'm looking for documentaries regarding the input of Sound Engineers on Bands. I have a school project where I have to investigate a Sound Engineers creative impact on the outcome of the Bands project(s), as well as the development of the band.

I'm struggling to find many. I checked out Making of the Dark Side of the Moon (Pink Floyd), and The Beatles On Record, as well as a documentary on Nirvana and Lamb Of God.

I don't really want to work on Nirvana or Lamb Of God since they were referenced in the project guidelines as examples of what we are looking for.

Does anyone have any good recommendations?

Thank you all for your time - much appreciated!

I can highly recommend the film "Here Is What Is" about the making of Daniel Lanois' album of the same name.

You can buy and download it from Daniels website here

This is inspiring on so many levels and features some great drumming by Brian Blade :-)

All the best from
