John Martyn Passes On

One of my all time favorite singer/songwriters, Solid Air is one the best chill out albums you can listen too.

I read the news yesterday and was surprised and then a tinge of sadness overtook me. Whilst I can't pretend to have listened to much of John Martyn's work, I can relate to the innovation and sincerity of his work; despite being blighted with difficulties for a large proportion of his life. Long may his legacy as an innovator and composer endure.

The music world has been darkened this week yet again. The keyboardist for the origial Lynard Skynard has also passed away.

RIP and thanks for the music!

Well Said. There was an element of that sadness in many of his songs.
