Coolest symphonic band song ever!

So, I'm a freshman in symphonic band, and we're playing this ridiculously cool song, that I wanted to share with you guys because it's just so awesome. There are like, 50 different instruments involved. Listen to it here:

I play the triangle, ratchet, whip, bicycle horn, bells, claves, and splash cymbal. It's hard, but it sounds super cool.

Great piece of music 805! Great to develop your rythm and music skills in such a way. I wish I could have had those oppertunities when I was in highschool.

but how can you answer a question that doesnt exist? isnt that like saying "i drank from the empty glass of water." how can you drink from a container with nothing in it?

That in itself doesn't make sense. Assuming the glass is empty, it wouldn't be a glass of water--it would be a glass.

And assuming that you WERE drinking from it, there would be water in it.

I am pretty sure he wasn't trying to answer anything. Just a suggestion probably.

Well, there could be anything, but if you refer to it as a glass of water, and it is empty, you can't call it a glass of water.

That's the best position to be in! Think if it were opposite. You wouldn't learn much. When I was in university, I played with a band where the second youngest member was around 10 years older than myself. These were all very seasoned performers. As a musician, it was really a time of development.

Thanks for the link. I'll check it out.

Think of it this way. If you were the best player in your class, you would have nothing to learn, and you would easily get bored. By being "the worst" you have more to learn than anyone in the class does.

Nice piece. Must be a lot of fun to play. When I was in symphonic band, I remember doing Stravinsky's Circus Polka. This reminds me of that piece.
