Hello, fellows.

John Tempesta was the powerful backbone for bands such as: Exodus, Testament, White Zombie, Rob Zombie, Helmet and other. Actually he is the former drummer for The Cult, one of my favourite skin-beaters & bands. In await of your comments!

Thanks & Best Regards,

Ian

Personally, one of my favorite drummers of all time. His drumming with White Zombie was just amazing. The way he grooved on top of the constant 4 on the floor bass drum pounding in every song was nuts! Reminded me of a freight train barreling out of control.

Def one of the best power pocket players out there. One of the few of my drummer idols I haven't had the pleasure of sharing a beer with yet; hopefully someday soon.

Im telling ya...get that Testament Reunion DVD...John simply OWNS...

They bring their first drummer, Louis Clemente out about halfway through the set to let him finish the show and it was VERY OBVIOUS the band lost energy when JT gave up the throne. The first half of the show with JT playing is just pure freaking awesome, the show with John blazes. Testament is a band full of great musicians (Alex Skolnik is one of the greatest guitar players in the world in my view).

I admired his work with Rob Zombie.

He's a nice guy too.

When I getting into playing with loops and such live, I was rather nervous about pulling it off, and I didn't even have the proper equipment yet. I just so happened to run into John at a local club. He was there with a hot girl, and a drink, but I asked him if I could talk to him for a minute. He was very nice, set down his drink, set down the girl, and we chatted a for a few minuted about playing with loops and general career advice.

I was very grateful that he took a few minutes out his rock star evening to talk to me, and his little talk gave me the confidence to go forward with what I was doing at the time. Now playing with loops and backing tracks is 2nd nature to me, but I have to thank John for helping turn that corner.

One of the things I like most about JT is his sound: no matter where he is, he gets a mega-tight, super punchy, incredibly aggressive sound. I don't know if it's a specific requirement of his, but results are mostly amazing, especially in "First Cuts Still Deadly"

I agree, Jonh's sound and effects are original.....just like the song I Am The One. I very like his drumming style on White Zombie - AstroCreep: 2000, WZ Soundtracks, Super Sexy Swinging Sounds and Rob Zombie.
