Mock Challenge

OK, two musicians...one being a mainstream rock artist...say Brian Adams and the other a rap/hip-hop artist...say 50 cent, had to switch roles and write and perform a hit song in the other musician's category, who would have the easier time and why? What about some other categories like pop vs. blues or jazz vs. thrash? Thoughts?

I am guessing since I don't listen to rap, that most of these guys write their own lyrics, and not knowing how much of his music Brian Adams writes, that the rapper would have an easier time with the lyrics and the pop artist an easier time with the music since most rap isn't music but just a beat box. And for all of the critics, notice I said MOST, and I said I'm GUESSING.

I wonder what would happen if Yani and Kenny G switched. Two musicians who can't read music well switching places.... I think it would be equally difficult for both of them.

Jimmy Buffet and Bob Marley would be funny. I know Buffet would have a harder time b/c no1 can emulate Marley. :)

Good Topic

Peace

You wouldnt be able to tell the difference...

I'd like to see Lou Rawls switch microphones with Robert Plant and do the Immigrant song.
Plant would have an easier time with Lou's songs though..

P.S - On the drum side of things, it would be fun to see Dennis Chambers sit in with Lamb of God, and Chris Adler to a Buddy Rich Big Band arrangement.
