Teddy Campbell
 
New here and didn't see a thread on Teddy...what are everyones feelings on him? What do you like dislike about him?

he's lucky. got a huge kit and a really good band to play with. wish i had his job.

he's also an extremely skilled drummer with a tremendous musical sense. i'm amazed at how many songs he's able to play like he's played them all his life. he must be a phenomenal sight reader. the only thing i don't like about him is that his "gospel chops" show through on some songs that i think would be better with a simpler approach, but that's a minor issue. most of the time he plays just the right thing for the song.

I adore Teddy's playing. I'm sure he is one of the most indemand players in the country, if not the world. I agree with the other guy who made a comment, as well. I find it irritating to see black guys adding their "gospel chops" to every song. Nonetheless, Teddy is pretty much amazing.
