Yes, now they work correctly.
I watched them some hours ago and Steve Smith`s and Jason McGerr`s didn`t work: It said that I need a password to get access to the two vids.

But now they work, yes. Awesome vidoes Bernhard!! Thanks alot buddy.

Speaking of Jason McGerr, I absolutely loved his vid, great playing but he doesn't have his own Drummerworld page and I cannot seem to find anything about him?

Everything is fine, but I'd like to know who the hell is tapping Thomas Langs shoulder and why? hahah.

People tend to get over-excited at these sort of gatherings.

Hi Bernhard

First of all, I've only been using the forums for a few months and had never heard of drummerworld until last fall, when my drum teacher sent me the URL. I gotta say - THANKS!! You've heard it 1000x but I'll say it again, this is a phenomenal resource for drummers and probably the site I visit the most these days.

This may not be the proper place to point this out but it is "on-topic". Have you considered posting the videos in Adobe Flash format? This is the same technology that powers YouTube and other video sites. I know I'm a very rare minority here but I use a Linux-based desktop and Quicktime doesn't work quite as well (yet.) It's a bummer because I have to download a video if I want to watch it, the streaming browser plugin sucks for Firefox on Ubuntu Linux and I can't watch the videos straight from the web.

Just a thought, there may be other benefits - such as a wider audience that has the Flash plugin in their browser vs. the Quicktime plugin, which requires a separate download and installation. I'm pretty sure the streaming technology is more efficient as well (better video compression and quality.)

And again, thanks!

Re: new MD Videos: Do they work for you?

Thanks for the kind words.

First of all: The time with the really crappy quality of the Flash movies on youtube are over.

From now on they encode with Quicktime H.264 - deal was made these days with Apple. Has something to do with the new i-Phone and Apple-TV.

So they started now to encode all new movies with H.264 and convert all the old ones.

About Lynux: these are the specialists using this system - not normal end-users. So hopefully they should have the knowledge to bring some easy movies to work - lol.
Ubuntu: sounds like something from the jungle???!!! works with gas or fire??? Sorry, just got information from their website: Ubuntu 'Just Works' - so no problem.....

Wow, I guess I don't have my ear nearly close enough to the ground...youtube is moving toward Apple's video technology? The video quality is better but frankly, I wish they'd go w/ something non-proprietary.

Sure, I'm a programmer geek so I don't mind having to monkey w/ the plugin to get it to work...unfortunately the browser plugin that's available is of such poor quality, right now, that it rarely works. I'm happy, no complains, I don't mind downloading the videos to watch them.

Ubuntu means "human" in some African language...I think the info is all on the web site. The coolest part is; a lot of the system parts are drums! "Just works"...that's pretty funny! The tagline should be "It works really well for almost everything!".

Thanks Bernhard!
