Frank Bellucci

I just heard about Frank Bellucci a few weeks ago. He's one of these amazing underground superstar drummers. I just love his playing. He's a machine. His Tribute to BR solos on youtube are just amazing. Here's a a fairly new video.

I could not agree more. Frank is a Long Island treasure. I was able to take a few lessons from him and he is an extremely energetic and motivated teacher and player.

What a great solo! Musical, techically adept and always stays witihn the groove. This is what drum solos are supposed to sound like.

Thanks for alerting me to someone I knew nothing about!!

You're welcome Paul. I thought the same thing - how musical his solos are. His drum technique is truly amazing. There's a few more youtube videos where he's showing double bass work which is great. He's got it all happening. I bet he's a great teacher as well. There's also one he does demonstrating various strokes on just a pad. Just amazing drum technique. His videos are great to watch, as they really get me motivated. I would love to see Frank play Live!

Wow! So you took some lessons from him. Lucky you. He seems like he would be a great teacher. Does he play mostly in New York? I bet seeing him live is a blast.

He is a great teacher and I hope to resume my studies with him again someday. He plays around Long Island all of the time with various bands. I wish I could see him play more than I have been able to.
