Ray Luzier

Based soley on the drumming for the army of anyone single "goodbye," I intend on getting their debut. The only bio I could pick up on him was that he played with David Lee Roth...

Album kicks ass from start to finish.. This guy has awesome chops and feel.. The solo at the end of Goodbye is very Peartish at times dont you think ? Anyway, another great drummer on the radar... This guy is very very good.

Big star on the rise. I saw him play with Billy Sheehan at the NAMM show last year. I found out that was when the Deleo brothers saw him and asked him to join Army of Anyone.

I have his instructional dvd and the man is a really great player.

He can do just about anything on a kit.

I will have to check out his band.

Plus he partied hard with DLR! He must be pretty cool as well.

His instructional DVD is VERY good. He gave me a copy himself!!! The producer/engineer for my band knows him very well, along with the rest of Army of Anyone. He's one of the nicest drummers I've ever met. When I first met him I had no idea who he was until he left and my producer told me, I was pretty disappointed I didn't take advantage of his presence at that time. Sure enough I saw him again and he remembered my name, which was pretty amazing, I thought. My producer's band is going on tour with Army of Anyone and we're hoping to get in on a couple local shows. Ray needs to be added to drummerworld for sure.

His wife is really hot too....whoops

Just saw AoA at the Metro in Chicago last night. Luzier is a freak man! He really blew me away, and the rest of the crowd it seems. There were parts where he basically dominated the show. Great drummer, showman, and he sounds like a great guy too.

I'm gonna have to pick up his DVD.

The two opening acts were Escape From Earth and The Steepwater Band. Were one of these your producer's band?

The guy is "off the hook". I first heard him on Darren Housholder's self-titled album, in 1992, and then in 1993, Housholder's "Generator Man". His discography http://www.rayluzier.com/discography.htm
