Fiona Firenza.

All of our family cars get named alliteratively and that's the only one that I can think of that flows nicely.

Dave.

It's just a name that works for anything.

Re: Naming my car

Give it a name that you wont have to worry about people having, like Conrad or Dalton. That way someone wont think you named the car after them, or be insulted by it if they don't like your car. Can we see a picture of it?

My neighbour was called Dave.

It didn't work for him.

Is the car male or female, by the way? Because if it's a bloke, Bunty probably isn't quite right, and in that case I suggest Tarquin.

I take that theory with my drag name but my car name has to be common. Mundane. My current car is called George. It's fun, confusing the Hell out of people.

You have a Firenza - seriously? Please tell me it's not an original droopsnoot with the Lotus crossflow head & equilibrium manifold, otherwise I'll instantly hate you ;)

I had a 2.3 in canary yellow, black vinyl roof, with Rostyle wheels.

I googled the car and to me it looks like a 'he' - I would name him 'Retro'.

Mine was similar to this yellow model, only mine had a black interior.

The silver one is what I really wanted, but they only ever made 203 of them.

Hey, watch it bub, my son is named Tarquinn. And he, like me, feels that haircuts are a waste of time.

If I had a car like that I'd name it Skeezix...

I also thought of that....but then there's this guy (actually a friend of mine) that always gets the girl that I want... never seems to last to long though.

Ian, talking of names, when did you go from "gentleman" to "rebel"?

Hope you're all good Ian :)

Name him Colonel Mustard, like in the Clue Game. My car's name is Thomas, like in the little Tank Engine that could.

Re: Naming my car

Over 30 years ago I was stopped at lights in a cheap old bomb when a group of people pulled up alongside and yelled out "hairy underarm!". I thought I'd had a grooming malfunction until they explained that they owned my car at one time and named it Hairy Underarm - number plate starting with HUA.

Since then I try to make words from my number plates as a memory aid until I remember it. With VZN it's not so easy ... the VZ brought to mind "vizier" as in "grand vizier", as seen in some Terry Pratchett books. So I think of the car as Vizier ... Not :)

Car's a Firenza? So call it it Foxy.

My Rockports are Roxy, my Custom Classics are Clarissa (or maybe Candi or Carla Gugino, not too sure yet). It's tradition, man.

I never named my car. She's a Nissan 280ZX and I have a custom license plate. Besides calling her the "Z", if I called her anything I would call her what's on the plate.
Attachment 61635

BTY, my car and my drums both start with Z.

Sorry, had to. This is a game I have played in the car for ages. My wife is always trying to find the most ridiculous plates she can to try and stump me. I love the challenge of a personalized plate. They make the best ones.
