Zoom Q2 Video Recorder question

Hey guys,

I just picked up a Zoom Q2 Video Recorder. Read some great reviews on the audio quality although supposedly the video is average (and it eats batteries.) But regardless, it's just to stick on a tripod and record a few songs at our shows to throw on YouTube or just to critique. Maybe if I grow some balls, I'll do a drum cover for you guys to tear apart. ;)

I'm not a tech guy AT ALL, which is why I bought something simple. For those familiar with the device: Any recommendations as to what settings I should set for the 1) Video , 2) Audio, and 3) Microphone angle?

As always, thanks ahead of time!

Re: Zoom Q2 Video Recorder question

I hardly ever used mine (Q3HD) for the video quality, so I usually put it on 720/30 with the highest quality audio. A mid angle setting for the microphone would probably be ideal, you really just have to play with it to figure out what your ear likes best and sounds best for your room.
Post a drum cover!

Get rechargeables and make sure your battery (type) setting in menu is on NI-MH
