How to turn off the multi-zone option of the pads connected to a Yamaha DTX 500 module?

Greetings!
I just bought a Yamaha DTX 500 kit and it's my very first electric kit. So pretty much a newbie when it comes to understanding these things:)

I just want to turn this option off so that wherever on the pad I hit it sounds the same.

Hi,

A simple way to make a 3 zone pad such as a XP80 into a single zone pad such as a TP65 is to simply switch the pad type in the trigger settings menu. But this will change the pad's response to a drumstick strike.

The other way to make the 3 zone pad into a single zone pad is to assign the same voices (sample sounds) to all three zones through the drum kit menu.

Hope this helps,

Or you can just pick the sound that you want and program it into all 3 zones of the pad the same way, then you wont lose any of the response.
