Stagg - my first drum kit

4 Attachment(s)
Picked up my Stagg drum kit today, which I won on ebay. Have never owned or played drums before, so any advice most welcome.

A few pics of my set up. Can you see anything obviously wrong?!

Also, I've added a cowbell, but the only place I can fit it is on the top of the hi-hat - will this affect the sound from the hi-hat?

Thanks

speaking of wich.. you might want to lower your ride to make playing it easier ;-).
Welcome to the forum man! I've learnt so much here, it was my daily addiction when I was in your shoes 7 years ago. The guys and ladies here rock.
Have fun playing and setting goals and achieving them :-D

Nice kit! Welcome to the forum. I agree on lowering that ride, but it is up to you and what makes you comfortable.

I agree with the above posts. The only other thing I would change would be to bring the two toms on the bass drum closer together.
