Happy birthday to me!
I've been wanting a djembe for a while now, and finally decided to get one. Granted, I wouldn't have bothered if I hadn't been given any money for my birthday, but what the hell, right?
It has a really nice tone to it - great highs, and nice focused lows; really beautiful.
I've only been messing around with this type of instrument for about a year now, and I really only know how to play it similar to that of a drum kit-style, but it sure is fun and relaxing; perfect for campfire jams.
24x12.5, for those who are interested.
I also apologize for the cellphone quality pictures, but I don't own a camera.
Oh, and they go sideways too... hmm.
i love the skin on top what kind is that? the hand wood carving on the side is beautiful!
I do believe the skin to be goat, and judging from its bleached appearance, it most likely comes from Pakistan. With that being said, it sounds beautiful.
