Pearl P932 help
Hello guys, I have a question. I have the Pearl P932 pedal and I love it, but I want to do something. I want, with the minimum amount of pedal movement, to get the maximum amount of beater movement. I made an image that explains what I want, better.

Thank you very much for reading this.

P.S.: Sorry for any grammar mistakes, English is not my native language.

Re: Pearl P932 help
The ratio of beater/pedal motion is set by the cam. Many deals have interchangeable cams and/or attachable cam inserts. Other pedals have different models and model suffixes to indicate the cam type. For example, the DW5000 comes in vanilla and "Accelerator" varieties.

Re: Pearl P932 help
Well, the pedal and beater are connected to the same shaft, so their movement is basically a 1 to 1 ratio. The only way to change the ratio of pedal movement to beater movement is to decrease the size of the cam itself. This will increase the amount of force required to move the pedal because the rotational force (torque) that is applied on the central shaft is decreased. A larger cam will increase torque and make the pedal reel lighter, but it will require more movement of the pedal to get the same movement of the beater.
