zyldjian black dip sticks

hey, for my entire (and short) time drumming, i've been using zildjian dips, (a drum stick that the back half has been coated in latex paint for better gripping)
first of all, any comments
second of all, are there any other sticks like these?

btw the size i use most no matter what is 7A i just find I can focus my sound better with the smaller head and they feel weghtless after practicing with 5A's for ten minutes

I have a couple pair of 5A's I've been using for a few months now, and the plastic where my thumb and finger wrap the the stick has already worn through.

I like them, but probably won't buy any more.

I wore through the grip in a few short days and got massive blisters. But if you like them and they work for you, why worry what anyone else says?

Zildjian's DIP sticks have certainly gotten better than they used to be. I had that blister problem initially when they first came out, but I somewhat recently picked up a pair during a Zildjian event at my local shop and found myself buying them for a while. But now I have the problem that they dry out my hands so I won't be buying any more.

Anyway, if you need a good rubber grip try Vic Firth.
