DW 2000 Pedal help

Let me tell you this now, I do not know much about pedal setting seeing as I used an electric kit for a long time before I went acoustic. So, I get the pedal set up and everything's good, and then I decide I that the foot-board angle is a little too high for my taste. How the hell do I get this master link connector off so I can re-attach it at another hole on the sprocket?

take a pair of needle nose pliers and slide off the keeper in the sane direction of the length of the chain, then it comes apart and put it where you want and slide the keeper in place but be careful the keepers are sping loaded and can fly away and never be see again.
