Zildjian K 14'' hi hat

Has anyone played both the new version and the 1995 version of this hi hat? Is it too different?
I recently bought the 1995 hat and it is quite heavy, 1225g top and 1500 bottom I think. I like them though I have never played the new ones.
 
I own both sets and the newer K HH top has a softer shimmer than the older EAK.
 
I have played several pairs of the old EAK hi-hats as well as the new K's. The current K hi-hats are a lot thinner, and open up better than the heavier old ones. I do not own the regular K hi-hats, but I do have a pair of 14" K Con prototype hi-hats from 1997 that are also quite heavy. They sound quite nice, but they are ironically a bit too loud for most jazz any softer than big band. They probably sound slightly darker than yours.
