DW Hardware?

Hey guys. I'm looking into new hardware to get after I buy all my cymbals. I like lightweight and retro looking stuff like DW 6000 and 7000 series. I'm going with an Iron Cobra Hat Stand and Iron Cobra Pedal for sure. Does anyone have any information on the 6000 or 7000 series and their functionality? Can the 6000 stands base come up in case I need to get over another stand?
 
I have the DW 6000 series hardware, the flat base stands, one boom and one straight. They're great, but most important - sexy as hell. You can't take the base up, but since they're flat you could just stand 'em next to each other.

One of my favourite purchases!

PS. I recommend the DW9000 pedal. Get it! :)
 
Thanks for the reply Cameo! That's great! I plan on getting a Catalina Jazz or Sonor Bop soon and want that vintage look to go with it. I got a few more questions about them though:
How much wight can the boom hold?
Are they pretty lightweight?
Do they have the gearless tilters?

I'm gonna have to say no to the 9000. I'm not a fan of DW pedals. I'm using my Iron Cobra and an Iron Cobra hat stand when I can get one.
