The only reason I don't find religion all bad is because it gives people something to believe in. My atheism can get very depressing at times.
Your sentence works equally well if you replace "religion" with fairies, unicorns or UFO pilots from the Andromeda galaxy.

for what's worth, it seems Mr Kotak is taking responsibility for his actions:
I'm skeptical about someone who is serious about treating his addiction using a specialist who's associated with "Celebrity Rehab," because no addiction specialist who is serious about helping people will associate with "Celebrity Rehab."

I wish Kotak well in his recovery.

The only thing that I hate more than religion are countries that are based on religion.

I'm not religous, but I can't stand this guy. Now, while the christian bible is full of a lot of shit that isn't necessarily logically sound, this guy takes it to a whole new level, twisting arguments, beating dead horses, and using tasteless and obnoxious humor to prove his irrelevant point.

But that's cool, to each his own. I can see how some might find him hilarious.

He tells fans, "After years of drinking alcohol, on April 3rd, 2014 my addiction finally caught up with me

The representative then called the police and reported that I was intoxicated (which I was) ...

... I was charged with 'Drinking Without a License', for which I pleaded guilty and received a one-month sentence and a 2,000 Dirham (300 USD) fine.

"Upon returning to the United States on May 6th, I immediately reached out to Bob Forrest, an addiction specialist known for his work with musicians and 'Celebrity Rehab'. I have been meeting with Bob on a regular basis

Herman Zee German Rarebell is not with Scorpions anymore I seem to recall reading that somewhere. 15-20 years ago I did some gigs with a Scorpions tribute band. It was the most boring playing I had ever done, joining a country band after was like playing jazz fusion.

There are some jobs it's better to just say no to. If you are going to travel anywhere, you have to know the rules and customs - prior to going.

There are some places that one just cannot ever F--- around in. Some examples:

The line at Customs or Airport Security
A Courtroom
AN ISLAMIC NATION
In some countries you can be sentenced to death for blasphemy, in other words, just saying or writing something less than flattering about the official state religion.

Politics and religion is an extremely toxic brew. "Man will never be free until the last king is strangled with the entrails of the last priest" - Diderot.

What'd be funny is, if Kottak upon release announced he has embraced Islam.

Islamic law forbids usury? Hmmmm, let me think about that.

I'm not sure if the judge even knows they're still together. I can hear it now...

"So, Mr. Rarebell..."

:)
LOL....

My thought: When the audience noticed Herman Rarebell didn't show up for the gig, they demanded this guy be arrested for impersonation.

My other thought: No TV through the hotel window? No Car in a swimming pool? Amateurs!
