If I were to get a custom kit, I'd get:

22"x14" bass drum
18"x12" bass drum
10"x8" tom
12"x9" tom
14"x14" floor tom
16"x16" floor tom
14"x5" snare
14"x7" snare

If I had to choose just one bass drum, I'd get a 20"x14". If I had to choose just one snare, it would be 14"x5.5". If I had to choose just two toms, I'd get a 12"x8" and 14"x14".

Black Glass Glitter finish.

Toms in 8x12, 13x15, 14x16, 14x18.

20x24 and 20x26 for the bass drums.

I have all the snares I could ever seriously need, but a Craviato Diamond 5.5 x14 snare would be really great!
On the "more likely to happen in reality" side, a Ludwig 5x14 COB Tube lug, Millennium strainer snare is on the "to get" list.

Yeah, 13x15 is a great size.

Fat and big sounding, but with a little more punch than the 16.

I have one on each kit (3) on the hat side.
With the 8x12, I get the higher tom sound, and it works nicely with the 14x16 (then the 18...).

AND, when I want a BIG sounding tom hit or fill, I have the 15, 16,18.

I sometimes use 4 floor toms, and that's a lot of fun. Then it's 14-16, 16-18 (left to right).
It is a lot of stuff to carry, and I don't do it very often, but it's fun.

Another great sounding combo is 12-15-18 if you want a real high to low thing.

Well my DW Collector's are as follows:

22x18 bass
10x9 tom
12x10 tom
14x12 floor
16x14 floor
14x7 snare (on order)
14x5 snare
10x6 snare

If I had my time again I'd go for 10x7 and 12x8 rack toms. I really like the deeper sizes I have now, but after playing a few kits with shallower rack tom sizes I think I prefer the naturally shorter sustain

That's a combo I've been using more lately in a 1 up 2 dn configuration. More often it's a 13-15-18 just because the 12 seems a little on the high side for me, but I'm liking it more and more. Add the 24x14 kick and an LM402 and I'm all set. My dream kit has become my reality (of course, we're not talking about cymbals here - that would get ugly!).
