what do i need to buy?

so our small band likes to practice a lot and we play the song in headphones so we all can catch up to the song if we mess up. but i need a way to connect like 5 pairs of headphones to the same device. i was thinking in ear monitors? but what would i need to get to make the monitors work?

Catch up to the song? Do you mean catch up to the click (assuming you’re playing to a click)? If so, you could try only sending the click to you, and then keep time on the hi hat for any parts where you’re not playing.

EDIT: or are you referring to playing to backing tracks? I’m just trying to understand your situation.

They make headphone amps pretty cheap with several outputs for several pairs of headphones. I'll see if I can find one in post it on here.

I don't know if this is any good. It's the first thing that came up. But there's a lot of different prices and brands available.

I use this one on the far left nice little unit and was affordable its on 4 input .
