Hey all you vintage-ists, any ideas on the ID for this snare? Me thinks a MIJ Slingerland copy (similar throw off) but maybe not a copy.....no other info in ad than 'best offer'. 8 lugs. Are those Slingerland hoops? Anybody have something similar? thanks. D

Definately a Pearl MIJ copy of Slingerland..They actually sound decent if you coat the interior with lacquer, and put decent heads on them.Low to medium tunings only,no Stewart Copeland high pitch stuff.Best offer?Seller has no clue what its worth.Best offer is a fishing expedition.50 US tops, maybe offer 25 ,and see were it goes.I have the same drum. The chrome is actually pretty decent, and it makes a good back up snare, where you don't need a lot of volume.
