Yo

I've always shied away from defining a band within a certain genre. Most of what I like usually transcends genre in one way or another. So recently I decided to stop ignoring the term "Math Rock" and gave it a try. Turns out I'd been missing out on some brilliant bands.

Both UK bands

and here's another in case you haven't heard of them

Any more to add?

Loving bandcamp at the moment for this reason. I guess Math Rock covers indie/prog/rock?

I have no idea, I just love these bands

On the other hand I think the band named U.K. had some fabulous drummers, Bill Bruford on the first (and in my opinion, best) album, followed by Terry Bozzio on the two albums after that. This was probably not what you asked, but I couldn't resist when I added up UK + drums :)

You should check out Led Zeppelin or The Beatles. I heard they have some pretty good records...

But seriously, my new favorite UK band is The Temperance Movement. Great bluesy-rock sound.
