Testing my new recording equipment - tips and feedback please

Hi all,

I've put together a track to test all my new equipment: I've just done a quick, rough recording to one of John Riley's backing tracks from Art of Bop Drumming.

I'm using:

M-Audio Profire 2626
Audix F-series mics
Cuckos Reaper

I close mic the snare, kick and toms, and have two overheads. Every mic has its own channel. EQ wise, there's a tiny bit of compression on a few of the tracks, but it's otherwise raw.

To you home studio vets, what can I do to improve sound quality, reduce room ambiance, and generally get the best of my (expensive) equipment.

Cheers.
