Reducing Floor Vibrations From Practice Pads

Junior Member
Hello all,
I recently moved into a small apartment and have been practicing with a "pad set" made up of a couple regular practice pads and a Gibraltar bass drum pad. After a couple days of practicing like this, my neighbor who lives right below started complaining about the "unbearable" floor noises it was making. Although it's very quiet in my room, I guess the floor is amplifying the vibrations (probably mostly from the bass drum pad), making it sounds like loud thumping in the apartment below. Has anyone had a similar experience and/or have any ideas on how to remedy the situation? I'm looking at buying a rubber mat to put underneath that are meant to reduce floor noise from excersise machines (like this but I'm not sure how much that will help.

Let me know if you have any suggestions.
