Jim Keltner with Bob Weir

is this Jim Keltner playing redently with Bob Weir on the Late Late showhttp://consequenceofsound.net/2015/02/grateful-deads-bob-weir-and-john-mayer-perform-together-on-the-late-late-show-watch/?
Nice version as a 4 piece with Mayer, pretty cool drumkit.
Why yes it is. The sunglasses, Ahead sticks and Paistes tightened down with almost no wobble is a dead giveaway. I've always liked Keltner. He always does something a little unusual and or different with every beat he does.

Check him out on the album Little Village with John Hiatt, Nick Lowe and Ry Cooder. Classic Keltner drumming.

BTW, pretty unique finish on that PDP Concept Maple kit he's playing.

"Uncle Larry"
I remember reading somewhere about a reply Keltner offered up when asked about his constant sunglasses. He said something to the effect of:

"These are worn for YOUR protection"

I like Jim because he is so not a hot dog drummer.
