I wonder what they do with all of those sticks that don't make the cut? (No pun intended.) I wonder if they sell them to a lesser-brand-name company?
They must..
I have VF 5A's and Off-Brand 5A's and I can't really tell a difference. Except the Off-Brand ones were a dollar a pair.

As I was watching that video, it would be a shame to go through that much processing of a piece of wood just to throw it away if it didn't meet certain specs. I totally understand them discarding those sticks, but I'd hate for them just to go to waste.

Should've watched all the way to the end, like Odd-Arne did.

damn. All this time I thought they were made by a bunch of geezers sitting around with pocket knives and sanding blocks!
