I have just purchased a Remo Ambassador Bass Drum Head, Smooth White on Amazon. Is this head, go on the inside ( Pedal Side ) Or The Outside ( Where The Drum Logo Is )

so you purchased a head and don't know if it is a reso or batter?

am I the only one who finds this extremely odd?

well....it could be either....put it where you wish

smooth heads are generally used on marching bass drums

Curious why you bought the head. Was one of the heads you have bad? With all the discussion on bass drum heads on this and other forums, why pick this one? Typically that would be used for the front or resonant side. Although it could be used on the batter side for a jazz kit where it's not pounded on too hard. May need some felt strips or something for damping as was usually done when plain heads were the only option.

^^^^This.

Smooth white is just a model of the ambassador head. It can be either a batter head or a reso head.

He?
It's a bass drum as the others said either or?
I use a single ply coated on the front and the back, just remember the golden rule about cutting the front hole.
A single hole bigger than 7" on a 22" head renders the resonant property of the head useless, you may as well leave it off

My advice 2 holes slightly offset.
One for the microphone, say a 4" & one to let the air out.
Have fun
