Help me find out how old this snare is...

So, I was cleaning out a storage room at work and I found this rusty Pearl snare. I don't know anything about it and I can't find a serial number either (where are these usually placed?).

This is probably just a beginner's snare from the 90's or something. I'm not expecting it to be worth anything. I'm just curious.

However, here are two photos of the snare.

What do you guys know about this rusty piece of metal?

Thanks in advance - William

Way older than the 90's, my friend. Vintage Drum Guide identifies that badge as a 60's era badge: http://www.vintagedrumguide.com/pearl_badges.html

This page from the 1966 Pearl catalog shows a steel snare with the same badge, but no knurled center bead:

So my guess is, a mid-60's steel snare that may or may not have been rarer than the norm. I suggest checking on the Vintage Drum Forum for more info.
