That's a cool way to do that, splitting it between drums. It's inherently a little bit wild with the volume and timing of the second note, so I would also want to do that same soft/loud thing with a more controlled upstroke between notes-- not so reliant on the kinetics to get the accent. To be able to do that when somebody wants you to play a shuffle at a softer volume.
