I played the Blacked Out Zildjian series cymbals and the look is awesome but i cant say to much for the sound. Does anyone know a company doing anything similar with a little more attention to sound quality as well as the look???? Any ideas would be very helpful... Thanks

I know Paiste offers both white and black Alphas. Personally not a big fan of the Alpha sound in general, but they say that the coating is pretty good when it comes to sound. It's probably always going to affect the sound to a certain degree though; like adding coating or colour to a drum head will.

If you have the cash, UFIP makes incredible cymbals with various colors, including rainbow anodized. Very spendy, custom Italian cymbals, though.

Umm, yeah, but they are a bit spendy and you have to know the right people. ;)
