A Date With Dizzy (1956)

"Uncle Larry"
At the risk of sounding like a complete asshole, the music he had the band play for the commercial, IMO totally did not fit. I don't feel it painted him in a complimentary light. No disrespect intended to Dizzy and the guys, who are great.

Sorry, but I have to call them like I see them.

What strikes me about this clip is just how 'cool' jazz musicians were. They truly were 'hip' and never 'square' ...compared to the rest of the populus at the time.

a short film that puts Dizzys band in a studio scoring a commercial .... really great

actor Don Keefer as the director Don Babbit ... he is widely known as the man who was turned into a Jack in the Box in the Twilight Zone episode I'ts A Good LIfe by the "monster" Anthony
