Just wanted to show off a few pics of my new custom Casey Drums kit!

Casey drums is a relatively new company in Vancouver, BC.

This is a kit that I have been wanting forever, I finally saved up for quite a time and put the deposit down and 3 months later this beautiful kit showed up!

This kit was inspired by one of my favourite cars, the Subaru WRX STI.

The specs are as follows.

All Shells are Maple with the exception of the snare.

22" x 18" Bass Drum
12" x 8" Rack Tom
16" x 16" Floor tom
14" x 7" Snare ( Acrylic Snare )

Custom blue stain, and gold/bronze hardware.

Cymbals: 2x 18" AAX xplosion crashes, 20" AA ride, 14" AAX stage hats, 14" AA china

Mapex falcon double pedals and various mapex/yamaha/pdp stands.

I bought myself a set of Yamaha Stage Customs (20",14",12",10",8") purely because I was fed up with lugging my 24" Superstar around all the time. I need to do some work on these though, the 14" and the 8" are glossed whereas the others are bare wood.

This morning though, the real joy happened, my new 18" K Custom Session Crash arrived, it sounds awesome, really bright with a nice short decay, now to upgrade the rest...
The Zildjian edge splash is relatively new as well, £8 off ebay, really trashy sounding, works well as an effects cymbal.

Today 15 may, my Birthday, has been my lucky day :))) ...

... Gert Breughelmans from Lignum drums (Belgium) has send me the first picture of my custom Lignum drum in progress.

This special set started from a birch tree which has been cut in 2007 :



The set is now halfway done, it only needs hardware and heads ... but it already looks stunning !!!
