Much Much too pingy for my tastes....maybe it would sound better with wood tips instead of mylon...

The type of sticks have a profound affect on the cymbal's sound, especially when using nylon tips. I have a Zildjian 20" A Custom Ping ride and it's not nearly quite as pingy sounding. The sticks I use are also wooden tip which smooths out or rounds out the initial attack somewhat. The sound recording on the camera could also be accentuating the mid frequencies of the cymbal.
