hello there drummerfriends! i haven't visited the forum for quite some time now, but today i came up with an idea. if old Meters' tunes were recorded being conveniently divided into two channels, why not take the liberty, and ask the grandmaster Zigaboo to let me try my luck with the rest of the band.

so that's what i did. the drums you hear are recorded by me on two vocal mikes, and the rest is the funksters from Nawlinz.

what do you think of it? some fragments could be a bit off, but i'm pretty glad of how it came out to sound :).

You're lying, that was Zigaboo!

Wow, I'd say you pretty much crawled in Zig's skin there, fantastic!

keep it simple

The Meters are legendary in the south here in the USA. They play parts that compliment each others offerings and make great music that you can listen as well as dance too. Another great group thats simular in their approach is the Holmes Bros. both are wonderfull because you can understand what their playing and saying. The guitar sounds like a guitar and no one wants to die or kill anyone else. How novel!! Good job! Doc
