g1 clear vs g1 coated as reso's

i know choice of heads are a matter of preferance, but, what could i expect to see as major diffrences between the two as reso's. i just put a coated 10' on with ec2 batter and sound fkn great!! contemplating the clears tho mosty for looks but what does looks have to do with great sounding drums? anyway, would i see a major diffrence anyway? thanks in advance for the reply!!! you guys always have great insite!!!!

I wouldn't say a major difference, but you should hear a slightly more focused and a bit less resonance sound with 1 ply coated resonant heads compared to clear. I have coated Remo Ambassador heads on my DW Classic kit's toms and they sound spectacular.

yea i just put em on to see how they sound and i am really impressed, i actually used the stock remo batter heads that came with my set (mapex meridian birch) as reso's and pppffftt...they sounded like my rear end on a bad day, lol
