I know next to nothing about vintage drums, so I have 2 questions...
Would a 60's or 70's Ludwig Entry Level Snare be worth anything? It's aluminum I think. Don't know much about it. If someone tells me that it could possibly be worth something, then I could put some pics up.
And also a old premier steel snare? Don;t know how old it is, it's just not their current model. There's a pic in the attachment, its not the exact one, but badge is the same.
Thanks.

Is the Luddy an Acrolite? They were marketed as "student drums" for many years, but that certainly doesn't make them entry level (far superior to some of the no name, Chinese made, steel peice of junk that is "entry level" by today's standards). If so, it is an aluminium shell and whilst desireable, they're not rare, so it depends on your interpretation of "worth something". It will sell, but don't expect a bundle for it.

A used Acrolite here in the US on eBay would usually sell between $90 and $175 depending on the condition and size. They are not rare, but they actually do sound quite good. It's like a 8-lug Supraphonic and can handle alot of musical situations without alot of fanfare.
The Premier you have I would have to see pictures of. If it's the older 'metric sized' Premiers from England, you would probably have a hard time selling just because of the weird size. But Premier's entry-level stuff was probably a bit worse than other manufacturers' offerings.

Neither are actually my snares, they're both my friends' dad's.
I doubt the ludwig is an acrolite... It has a small badge that only says "Ludwig" and nothing else. So no evidence of a particular model, just a luddy.
I'll have to measure the premier next time I see it. I think it was a pretty standard size though, about 14 x 5 1/2 or 6. I'll have to check for the metric size though. It sounds pretty good though, to be honest.

Pretty much par for the course with Luddy snares.
Pics would be helpful.
