Hi,

recently I bought a cowbell and woodblock. I play some Latin rhythms now and including these percussions to my playing really sounds great. I wanted to know if there is a good resource or book only about cowbell and woodblock rhythms. I want to abuse these instruments more.

Cheers

If you want to abuse the cowbell I recommend "Mississippi Queen" by Mountain.

Seek out an authority named Chuck Silverman for latin and afro/cuban patterns.
Also listen to Steve Gadd's cowbell patterns and Stanton Moore's funky cowbwell playing incorporated into drum-set grooves.
Youtube is an amazing site for viewing these great players.

One interesting thing to look at is clave patterns, as used in Cuban music. They can be challenging to play but sound really interesting folded over other types of rhythms.
