im looking for a new snare drum for a pop punk band and was wondering what sort would be good for it my price range is up too £200 :D

Wow, there are so many choices...

There is a '70 Supra on my local Craigslist right now for US$175, you could go for something like that. They are one of the most versatile snares ever made and have a wide tuning range. Plus they never go out of style! I like Pork Pie or Black Panther maple snares in that price range too. What size are you going for? I would imagine a shallower, poppy snare for pop/punk, maybe a 14" x 5.5".
