Anyway...here's my new toy!

I will try and post some audio after it arrives in a week or so.

Johnny signs the inside of his shells in big, black marker. I don't know if it's every shell on his kits, I'll find out shortly.

I hate to talk about cost, but I'll tell you if you PM me. I got them for significantly less than a brand new kit, because they were used for a month or so. Still got the tags on them, though and allegedly in perfect shape.

I wish I were wealthy enough to keep everything. Had to sell a couple really nice snares once I found out I won the Craviotto Auction.

hey if I had enough snares that I could sell a few to buy a Craviotto I would be the happiest man on Earth. Although I'm by no means complaining about the gear I do have it's just...

Sexy kit man!! Can't wait to see it with your Signatures. Congrats on getting that offer accepted when you thought it wouldn't be!

Absolutely beautiful.

They are some of my favorite drums. I haven't been fortunate enought to have seen any close up and live. But, just reading about them and seeing photos & videos is enough to convince me that they are exceptional.
Well done - awesome drums!

They sound very natural and woody. Full and resonant. Not as dry as I expected. I have a day off tomorrow and will record some audio.

That is a wonderful kit sir -- congrat's!

LOL @ the plastic bag pieces stuck to some of the lugs in pics 2, 3 and 4 -- tells me that you took the drums out of their bags in a hurry. I do it all of the time! :)

You need to vacuum your carpet. Maybe even give it a steam cleaning.

does it really get any better quality than this/ i mean is there actually a kit that someone could say is superior to this? i know that once you get to the ultra high end kits, everything sounds pretty amazing, but i cant think of a way u could make a kit like that sound particularly bad

Sounds good, and yeah, what Gruntersdad said, is it for sale now?

Fish, as far as "quality" ?? Well of course. There are plenty of kits that possibly have better everything. Sound is subjective. I have heard solid shelled kits that sound really good, as well as Stave kits. For me personally, it is not like a quantum leap in sound from the top ply shell kits to a solid shell kits.

Here, go look at these:
