Me playing two Dave Weckl's Play along

Here I am trying to play two themes of the Master

Hey, that was absolutely excellent! Additionlly your kit has a beautiful sound (I particularly like the snare).

How did you get such a good recording?

My home estudio is very simple and cheap, but it works very fine.
First of all my dums and Cymbals:
PDP CX with EC2 coated on toms and EQ4 on bassdrum
Pearl Master Custom MRX (6 maple ply) snare 14x5,5
Zildjian A custom Hi hat 14"
Zildjian Crash K dark Thin 17"
Zildjian Fast Crash A custom 18"
Zildjian K ride 20"

Then I catch the sound with a very cheap mics set: Sansom 7kit
I mix it all (drums and playalong) in an analogig mixer Yamaha MG16/6 FX and I record it to a minidisc.
Finally, when the file is transfered to the PC y use some tools in cubase (multiband compressor and eq) to give the final touch.
This my "low cost home studio" ;-)

Another Mr. weckl's Play along. The set has slightly changed, because the top of the A custom Hi Hat have been replaced by a K zildjian top. I love it :-)
