Any one have any experiance playing with these new sticks from Vic Firth? In my new project I have been using blast sticks, tala wands and various other simular types of stick and have been enjoying the feel and my bandmates like the softer sound. Problem is that the tala wands are for much softer playing and get beat up quickly and I need to have some attack, the blast sticks (different brands) are very good as well but but don't quite cut it on the cymbals.Right now all of these are fine for rehearsals but when we go live the guys want me to keep the same sort of tone or texture as it were so when I saw the ad for the Soft Touch I became interested but the stores don't keep them in stock, special order only so I have no idea how they sound and what their durability factor is; so any reveiws or opinions are appreciated.

I would like to add to this question.

Has anyone played the new Vic Firth Silver Bullets? And are the Lite Stix crap or do they actually work?

Don't know about the Silver Bullits but would imagine that they really zing, I just ordered 2pair of the soft touch as that is the only way to find out. I also bought another stick bag to accomodate all of the different types of sticks I experiment with. It gets pricey but in the end that is all you can do.
