Is there a drumstick size, 5 in length but with a width inbetween A and B?

Vater Fusion mate. A little thicker than 5A. Round tip though if that bothers you.

Vic Firth makes a "55A", which they say bridges the sizes. Promark similarly offers the 808 and 818 models, which are between the 5A and 5B in diameter.
I would also look at artist signature sticks; I seem to remember several models from various companies being touted as crosses between 5As and 5Bs.
The major manufacturers' websites offer comparison tables that show exact diameter, length, and taper measurements for their lines, which can help you narrow down your choices.
just as a point of reference for you, i currently use the vic firth 55A's..perfect for me at the moment

Sticks with same label from different manufacturers have different thicknesses. Case in point, Regal Tip 5A is .580, which is about the same as Vic Firth 55A and is thicker than most other manufacturer's 5A sticks. Worth trying.
