Are there passages where you use a single stroke four or single stroke seven successfully?
Please show us.
PS: this is not a four or seven stroke roll.

I like the lick where you play the last of the single stroke 4 on the kick. RLRK
Snare - Rack Tom - Floor Tom - Kick
I say "bucket o' beans" when I play it because that's what it sounds like LOL.

Rhumbas and other Afro-Cuban rhythms. Fills. And any time I encounter one in a score. Examples attached.

Thanks!
So the single hit (after the triplet) forms part of the same pulse. In other terms, the triplet plus single stroke (in a single stroke 4) are all played within the time span of one quarter note. I think I'm doing this right but a video where one of these rudiments is played in time would be helpful.
Personally, I play the stroke 7 as double strokes, basically a double variant of the single stroke 4: rrllrrL.

Honestly, I use these with the accent on a downbeat about 400% more than containing it within a single beat. It's a great accent phrase for a low or high note (bucket o'beans in reverse: Bass-Floor-Tom-Snare as 16th-note-triplet starting on the upbeat of 3, landing on 4 with a snare rimshot), into a crash or hi-hat bark, or whatever you need it for. So yes, there are infinite possible applications for this rhythm (like any rudimentary idea) - very handy companions their roll variations.
