The Riq! Pocket drum kit.

Just dropping a line to see how many know about these Arabic frame drums called 'Riq.' (Req) They are the Arabic Tambourine but are more like a pocket drum kit, snare, Bass, high hat. Very cool indeed, great for car trips! Check them out.

Very cool, tho I expect a guy with tabla technique like this guy could make a cardboard box sound amazing.

that was pretty cool. it reminds me that drum kit drumming is only a part of the big world of percussion and that there are experts on other instruments who are just as passionate and skilled as we are (maybe more so in this case).
