Has anyone seen these. Two 20 x 8 inch connectible bass drums for single or double set-up??

I only saw this the other day on the Ludwig website.........I remeber thinking at the time that it's a rather unusual and interesting idea. Would love to know how they sound both as an 8x20 and then joined together. Anyone tried these and can provide a review?

I saw it the other day for the first time. I don't know what to make of it yet?
I would like to check them out with my feet and see what they are all about.
The single bass drum on my Pearl Rhythm Traveler is similar in size to one of those bass drums. I like my Traveler bass. I can see how it would work out.
I like the shallow tom sizes also!
INTERESTING!
Im into small drums lately for some reason! Perhaps it's a middle age thing?
I do like the intimacy of small size drums. Also, I've noticed that when I play my standard size kit after playing my small drums, I get a renewed perspective. I have more dynamic control of my full size kit and I like the powerful sound that it makes.

I sure hope that shallow bass drums catch on. The nicest kick I think I've played on was a 50s 20x10 Slingerland. Man, it was awesome!

I think the close-to-square dimensions on kick drums AND toms sound like carp! But, that's just my opinion--no offense to people who love their power toms---to each their own!

did my questions about the epic x over lead you to some new questions? haha.

these were in the drum shop the same time of the epic x's but i actually remember playing these

they were very sensitive/responsive but suprisingly had a pretty good amount of low end

it was in tabacco fade which imo look loads better than the blue burst.
