Anyone else notice that drum companies have some of the worst web sites on the web?
And Modern Drummer's web site is devoid of anything useful (to their credit, they are trying to sell a magazine).
I like Drum! magazines website a lot better (much more content, for sure, if you can find it in that gawd awful design).

Interestingly enough, he is playing the 6-stroke roll wrong ;-) The proper sticking is R ll rr L R ll rr L R etc.
He's playing R rr ll R L rr ll R R ll rr L R...ughh, that's three times harder than the right way!
Uggh, and his flam accents and swiss triplets aren't even triplets..he's playing 16th 16th 8th (awkward pause) 16th 16th 8th (awkward pause).
I wouldn't recommend this one at all.

Hi,
I came across this info/link whilst searching the net. I know quite a few people are into drumless tracks to practice with. I have not got any of the cd's mentioned so no reviews I'm afraid, just notification that they are available. On dissapointment though I did notice that the cd's do not show or give a listing of how many tracks, what they are (titles) so it's really taking a chance by buying on line. I suppose USA customers could phone (but I did not check further).

Hey guys.
I'm gonna toot my own horn here! I have a web site as well, mostly editorial, where I write about drum-related topics that are of interest to me at least, and I'm sure many other drummers as well. Lots more content to come in the near future. I invite you all to take a look at your leisure and let me know what you think, what you'd like to see. Oh yeah, and you can sign up for my newsletter too! It's free and your e-mail will always be private.
Anyway, I post on a regular basis. There's an Articles page, drum directory page, etc. Check it out, and enjoy!

If you ever find yourself stuck at a computer screen wishing you were behind your kit, check out the virtual drumset at http://www.kenbrashear.com/
It's kind of slow and you can only hit one drum at a time, but it's mildly entertaining and it's better than nothing. Actually, you'll probably end up just tapping out rhythms on your leg with pencils after a few minutes anyway, but still . . .

Here's a great site that posts all kinds of audio files on the net for every cymbal they're selling. This is a GREAT site to compare sounds and search for what you like in a cymbal.
http://cymbalsonly.com/cymbals/agop/agop.htm
Here's another youtube profile where you can compare snaredrums as well as cymbals and even some kit I believe:

If you ever find yourself stuck at a computer screen wishing you were behind your kit, check out the virtual drumset at http://www.kenbrashear.com/
It's kind of slow and you can only hit one drum at a time, but it's mildly entertaining and it's better than nothing. Actually, you'll probably end up just tapping out rhythms on your leg with pencils after a few minutes anyway, but still . . .
LOL using this is hillarious...like when you have someone who is clueless back there bashing away...when I move the mouse I am coming up with some absolutely horrid stuff...LOL. Love it.

Drummer wanted for 1 yr old band with genuine label interest from several record companies.
Tours and festivals dates booked for summer and beyond.
The style is a mixture of drum n bass, hip hop, reggae, soul and rock. Basically mixing the rhythmic intensity of modern urban music with the more melodic features of other genres.
Only the very best need apply. This is a fulltime position in an extremely hard working and ambitious band. The group is currently based in manchester, but spends most of it's time on the road.

My favorite of course...no brown-nosing intended...has got to be drummerworld.com. I can't count how many hours I've spent on this site. It sucks my life away. Where else can you watch masters, learn their techniques, etc.
I do like Youtube as well for checking out grass-root videos of unknown drummers, checking out new products and how they sound as well.

I just found a website called "Concepts in Drumming." cidrumming.com
It looks like it is Fran Merante's personal website ...a drummer on Drummerworld .
Not only does he have some great music and video files of great playing, he has tons of material on improving your drumming. I also found a lot of his instructional videos on youtube. Some great playing examples and some great ideas / conceptsto inspire you to take your playing to the next level. I hope to check out more of his videos tomorrow and hopefully work on some of the material this week.
